Default Canterbury Day_Nighter 2011

The Canterbury Day_Nighter tournament will replace the Canterbury Summer Swiss for 2011 due to a clash of dates with the Australian Championships in Geelong.

The Canterbury Day_Nighter has a major sponsor signed and delivered this week. We thank the Surrey Hills and Canterbury management of the Bendigo Bank for their significant support for this new tournament.

The Prize fund is $2000

The dates of the tournament are

Friday 9 December 1 game at night

Saturday 10 December 2 day games

Sunday 11 December
2 day games

Monday 12 December
1 night game.

A friendly schedule for workers, and a friendly schedule for schoolies.

Full details in the brochure about to be released.

This important tournament initiative
has now taken shape and
Flyers are available at the club.
Entries are starting to flow with
Karl Zelesco and David Flude as
confirmed entries and expressions

Here again are some important details
Ratings: Fide rated; ACF rated


Grand Prix counts to 2011 prizes

FIDE forfeit time: 30 minutes
Rate of play: 90 minutes plus 30 sec./1
Schedule
Friday December 9
Round 1 start time 7.00 PM
Saturday December 10
Round 2 and 3. Start time rd 2 10.00
rd 3 3.00 PM
Sunday December 11
Round 4 and 5. Start time rd 4 10.00
rd 5 3.00 PM
Monday December 12
Round 6 Start time 7.00 PM
Entry fees
Early bird entry fee $50 Must be paid by
Tuesday December 6. Full fee $60
$10 discount. for BHCC and CJCC members
Prize fund $2000
This promises to be a crackerjack tournament
in a time slot to please young and old.
Exams over.
No day sessions on week days for working
people
No 3 games a day schedule.
Tournament control by newly elected Box
Hill Chess Club FIDE arbiters
Low entry fees and good prize money due in
no small part to our sponsors .
