MCC Spring Bullet Marathon
Melbourne Chess Club
Spring Bullet Marathon When: Saturday November 5th, beginning at 6:45pm Where: Melbourne Chess Club, 66 Leicester St., Fitzroy, 3065 Format: 10 Player 'Match Round Robin', each player plays each opponent 4 times. Players will be sorted into divisions in accordance with their strength. Schedule: Round 1 - 6:45pm Round 2 - 7:05pm Round 3 - 7:25pm Round 4 - 7:45pm Round 5 - 8:05pm Round 6 - 8:25pm Round 7 - 8:45pm Round 8 - 9:05pm Round 9 - 9:25pm Prize Giving - 10:00pm Points: One points are awarded to a player for a win, half a point is awarded to both players in a draw, and the loser receives no points. The tournament standings are determined by total points score, not by individual match results. Bonus Points: A bonus is awarded to those who defeat their opponents 4-0. Time Control: Each player receives 2 minutes for the entire game, with no increment. Prizes*: 1st $100 (+ Trophy in Div. 1) 2nd $60 3rd $20 + FREE Entry in 2012 Summer Bullet Marathon Entry Fees: $20, There is a $10 visitors fee for non-MCC members. Free entry for GMs and IMs. There is a $5 discount entry to the 2012 Summer Bullet Marathon if paid by Friday 21st of October *The above prizes are dependant on a prize fund of $200.
