2010 Noble Park Club Championships
Hello all,
I have recently joined this forum so I am making my first post on the forum by announcing Club Championships at Noble Park which begins this Saturday. I will put up list of entries tomorrow night. If anyone wishes to play, let me know. 2010 Noble Park Chess Club Championship To be held at the Paddy O'Donoghoue Centre 18-32 Buckley Street Noble Park 3174. Saturday January 30th to April 10-th 2010 A 9 Round Swiss Tournament ACF and FIDE Rated !!! Playing dates: January 30/1/2010 Round 1 February 6/2/2010 Round 2 13/2/2010 Round 3 20/2/2010 Round 4 27/2/2010 Round 5 March 6/3/2010 Club Closed( Ballarat) 13/3/2010 Round 6 20/3/2010 Round 7 27/3/2010 Round 8 April 3/4/2010 Club Closed( Doeberl) 10/4/2010 Round 9 Entry fees: GM and IM free, Full fee $55, Concession and Juniors $45, Family 2 or more players $45 each. Payments:First day of play To be able to play in this tournament, players have to be club members. Yearly membership fees are $100 full and $75 concession. If players wish to become members only for half a year, they will be able to do so. In that case fees will be $60 full and $40 concession. If a player is unable to pay the membership fees at once, they are able to pay the fees over a period of time. Prize fund: Total Prize fund $1400 (based on 30 entries) 1st: $500 +Trophy 2nd:$300 3rd: $150 2 Rating Prizes: $150 in each division Best Junior Prize: $150 (min 5 junior entries) If there are more than 30 entrants, the prize fund will increase. No matter how many players there are, 80% of the entry fees will go back to the players. Prizes will be shared equally between players on equal scores, but there will be a playoff for the Club Champion if there is a tie for first place. Ok, here are results for round 5 and pairings for round 6. Next Saturday there is no round due to Begonia open so the next round is on 13/3. Due to the 2 week break, the pairings for round 6 will be provisional with the final draw confirmed next weekend.
