Default Previous winners of the Box Hill Autumn Cup

The Box Hill Chess Club AUTUMN CUP gained prominence in 1993 as the Club copied a good naming idea from the Dandenong Chess Club, and we elevated a small Club event into the full focus of recording winners on a trophy. The first winner was David Flude and to commemorate the occasion he donated the materials for a handsome trophy which Life member Gordon Wilby turned from wood.
Although we copied the naming idea from the DCC we still have a bit to learn because we play our tournament mainly in summer, with the finish just in autumn.

1994 Rolf Exner
1995 David Flude
1996 Bill Collins
1997 Tuan Le

And which of you is going to do the legwork and find out about that "orphanage" for Aboriginals in Box Hill that brutalised them into criminal insanity - Axiom could flesh it out if it was in his radar

I know that I am off topic but I also thought that people should know the history of relevant social events of their suburb, even chessplayers who often only know one world - chess world.

This is neither the place nor the audience for such comments. And to assume that chess players "often know one world" is actually offensive.
Please take your topic to a relevant forum.
