hmm, I will do my very best to play in this.

The State Champs should be the flagship event in any state and I've tried to support this over the few years I've been in Australia. I congratulate the CV committee for attracting the sponsors, and in the new schedule which seems to make a lot more sense than the previous schedules

Thanks Carl.

Leonid is in QLD atm, but I know he is reading to check progress, and your entry will be good news; hope you can make it.

Thanks but don't confirm me yet....I've got a couple of things to sort out before I can commit to playing.

Default Just a reminder on closing date. And call for Arbiters.

  • Tomorrow, Friday 2 October 8pm is the closing date for entries into the Lexus-sponsored Victorian Championship and Reserves.

  • Arbiters are invited to give 'expressions of availability' to private mail me at this bulletin board. Three venues are involved (see post#1 in this thread); Melbourne CC, Elwood CC, Box Hill CC). Arbiters can express preferences to be involved in a subset of venues and/or dates.

You guys got Lexus to sponsor a chess event?

I am impressed MOZ!

Now if only Queensland and NSW event organizors could rustle up some sponsorship of their own

Default The SANDMAN advises >

Good morning Trevor,
After a few hours of telephone and e-mail diplomacy(yesterday night) we will have Reserves tournament!
At the moment I do have nine entries and still waiting to hear from a few more potential candidates.
Hopefully after our(together with Katrin) trip to Croydon we will be able to release full fields and pairings for the events.

Best regards,
LS

Ok Eddie, lock in A) The goat is in the house.

No need to phone a friend, sure I am pretty much guaranteed to lose some rating points, but my chucky thread should get them back .
Just pm me the details on where I play and pay and make sure you tick MCC on all the little boxes!

cheers,
Fg7
