From the bush telegraph.
MCC game from round 8 Morris-Hacche 1-0 (it looks like it was a very quick win).

Congratulations to GM and Melbourne Chess Club member Darryl Johansen for winning the Vic for 12th time(!!!) in his brilliant career!Another honour for Melbourne Chess Club, David Baumont's winning the Reserves ![]() and thus gaining the right to play in the Vic Championship next year! Last night I had the chance to play my friend and club mate from BHCC Adam, one of the juniors who are usually giving me a very hard time in our encounters! Last night I was happy to get the 1/2 point in the end although I had the better in the beginning winning the exchange! I wish him all the best in his future! I am very happy with my performance in this, since with one more round to go I am already on 4 points with a good chance to get to 50% or even better in the final!
Considering that I was absolutely roasted by MOZ before I finally was allowed to enter the tournament, I feel obliged to thank CV VP Leonid Sandman for letting me play and thus presenting me with a unique chessic experience!
