I have sorted out an accomodation deal with a motel near the venue for this tournament.
The motel is the St. Georges Motor Inn, at 334 St. Georges Road, Thornbury VIC 3071. I have spoken to them and they will offer the following prices to players who stay for 4 nights (Friday Oct 30 - Monday Nov 2): STANDARD ROOM $110 per night. This room contains one queensize bed and is suitable for one or two people. TWIN ROOM $145 per night. This room contains one queensize bed and one single bed. FAMILY ROOM $175 per night. This room contains one queensize bed and two single beds. All beds are in the same room in all 3 cases, so the family room is not an apartment, and the twin room is not actually two rooms, but one with two beds. These rates are cheaper than the regular rates and have been specially given to us for the tournament. If you want to get the discount rate, mention the Melbourne Chess Club Cup Weekender Chess Tournament and Grant Szuveges when you make your booking. The owners name is Michael, and his brother Joe is the manager. The motel is conveniently located on the same tramline as the Melbourne Chess Club. It is approx 15 - 20 minutes on the tram or 10 minutes driving. Here are the motels details once again: St. Georges Road Motor Inn 334 St. Georges Road, Thornbury VIC 3071 phone: (03) 9416-8233, fax: (03) 9416-9707 email: info@stgeorgesmotorinn.com.au website: St Georges Motor Inn - Home Try to book your rooms early because Cup Weekend is popular, and make sure you pay your entry fees before September 30th to get the earlybird discount. For any other questions, call me on 0401-925-075 or email me at grantszuveges@gmail.com Thanks, Grant |

I'm definately playing! I just got my exam timetable, and I've got exams from 3pm - 4:15pm on the 30th of October and 3pm - 5:15pm on the 2nd of November. I don't know if I get the 1/2 point bye, or if we can postpone the game or whatever. I'll get my entry ready for you in the upcoming weeks though.

Hi Fenguin
I will add you to the list now. What is your full name? There are a few ways you can pay your entry: 1. Send a cheque to "Melbourne Chess Club Inc." Send the cheque to 66 Leicester St Fitzroy 3065. 2. Drop in to the club and pay with cash - though as you dont live close by you can get a friend to drop in and pay it for you. 3. Put the money into the MCCs bank account. Here are the details: Melbourne Chess Club Inc. Bendigo Bank Carlton Branch, 186-190 Lygon St Carlton. Account Number 132887126 (all one number) BSB Number 633000 If you use option 3, please ensure that you get the number right and please include your surname when you put the money in. Also please email me at grantszuveges@gmail.com and tell me that you have done so. Also, please make sure that you deposit the right amount of money! For any extra questions, call me on 0401-925-075 or email me on the above email address. |

Hi Mike,
Is it possible for me to give you the form and money on Friday night to enter and you can hand in the form and money for me at the MCC Transfer Tournament? Thanks, Fenguin
