If a person starts abusing you online, there is no reason to tolerate it. Just ignore them.

If you start arguing with a person with serious personal issues, you do not gain anything, and are likely to become upset over something that, in the grand scheme of things, is not important.

In the grand scheme of things, newbs who pretty morality online pretty much suck as far as online persona goes.
