This might be a bit unpopular but I've recently upgraded to vista and I've been playing the computer on the standard "Chess Titans" game. I'd consider myself a decent, not great but fairly strong, player and I've had serious trouble defeating the computer on a number of occasions at the higher difficulty settings. I turned them down a touch and suddenly the computer would make silly mistakes and be very repetitive. So my question is if anybody has had a similar experience and if there is any software out there you guys would suggest instead?

There are numerous flash-based (or they may be something else, I dunno) chess variants across the internet. Some cases have both computer AI as well as being able to play against other players. Just do a search for it and you should come across some good games!

Chess Titans is part of Vista.
I have played it on numerous occasions and have noticed the difficulty seems a bit flawed, very similar to Chess Master if you only allocate a short amount of time for the game to allocate a move. |
