Default Chessmaster 9000

Has anyone tried out Chessmaster 9000? I got it not too long ago from a friend who was cleaning out their computer stuff. It's pretty good and it ranges from easy to hard. Anyone?

Hands down recommend it. It has a beautiful layout and has perfect skill levels of people to play against.

I garuntee that you will be satisfied and will improve your game faster then you could imagine

I have never tried this version of Chessmaster, though it could probably kick my butt! I'm hoping to be more professional than I am now, in the far upcoming year of 2009! I need a lot of practice.

I agree. The skill range lets you always be playing at your best, and allow you to never be consistently losing either. You not only get an increase in skill by playing with "someone" your caliber, but you also won't necessarily have to deal with the constant morale downing of repeated losses because the opponent is too skilled.

It's definitely a great piece of software and it's well known as well. It was out for a lot of video game consoles and I think the most recent release was for the Xbox 360. It's called "Chessmaster Live." One of the best aspects of this version is the fact that you can play against other players online.

I have Chessmaster on my N95 Nokia which suffers from a bit of repetition on the first 3 beginner levels. Does this version suffer the same issue?
