Angry Seek and Destroy

Hi,

This thread is only for players on ICC. Do not post here unless you are playing on there. The idea is to establish an intelligence list on the players because lets face it, most of us real chess players are sick and death of cheats.

we have 5 categories

1-Confirmed Human- Plays OTB chess is known to be this strength
2-Probably Human- Plays like a human being, but no confirmed OTB sighting.
3-Unclassified- Do not have enough information to even estimate a guess
4-Suspected Bot- In this one game this player had Bot like tendencies.
5-Confirmed Bot- We have ample evidence to prove this player is a bot.

Hopefully everyone gets the idea. Don't be afraid to make mistakes and admit errors. Over time this ought to be a good resource.

Suggestions?

cheers,

What if you are like Axiom and you have a chip inserted in your head (by no fault of your own of course)? Does this make you a human, or a computer?

Spoiler for How to Avoid ICC Computer Cheats:
Just play at the 3 0 time control, that won't allow a human enough time to transplant the computer's moves into their own game - hence they cannot cheat as easily, if at all.

Hi,

arcise 2-probably human
flawless15-4-suspected bot
toothfairy- 2probably human
osprey-1-confirmed human
Dinomite-4-suspected bot
Evilsamurai-3-unclassified
TSH8515-2-probably human

Ok. So as you can see. Some of these players I have played twice. I reckon the basic idea is that players should publish there impressions of the games they play. It doesn't matter if you are right or wrong. Over time certain patterns will become self evident. I really do implore others to post there opinions of the player group on ICC. After you finish a session type in 'history' and reflect on your opponents play then publish those reflections here.

cheers,

I have just done a thorough examination of flawless15, both watching his games and playing him myself. Based on my examination I confirm that he is 100% not a computer cheat.

J2G,

With due respect. May I point out that even if you are 100% sure of your analysis this is not the point of the thread. You will notice that players who are classified as 1-confirmed human are known over the board players. A player who is 2-probably human is NOTconfirmed as an over the board player. That is they are probably human based on their play online.

So now we have our first player with 2 socio/cultural contacts which is important.

flawless15 (4-Fg7) + (2?-J2G). We now have more evidence on this player.
Current trend: tending more towards being a human being
Overall Trend: The jury is still not convinced.

Now if someone else plays this player and then publishes a quick rating of there play then eventually, given enough information, the evidence will be overwhelming.
Furthermore, if I play this opponent again my next assessment might be completely different, which will help us to gain a more accurate picture over time.

cheers,

Ah, but I also said a few things to this player and provoked him into playing me (he didn't want to because he was rated over 100 points higher than me). You can't provoke a computer.
