Cluedo...A mystery - OzChess

Hello,

There was a very interesting piece of news discussed in Victorian chess ciircles over the weekend. But in the interest of suspense, I have decided to introduce the clues slowly, like the old board game cluedo. Surely everyone remembers that game. You know you have to guess the murderer, the weapon, and the room. Don't you all love a thriller!!

Well here is the first clue.

And the topic seemed to be Ballarat/Begonia tourney.

Some-one is going to slaughter Fludey's Blackmar-Diemer, with the g-pawn, when he finally gets a game in the Pit?

Its actually considered a draw card when tournament do this. The thinking is with titled players there will be better attendance overall.
