Once again, proving that you are completely clueless and unobservant, you have made a totally false claim.
ChessChat has been showing Sub Forums on its homepage since 2004.

What did Oscar wild say about criticism being autobiography?

This little chap Gletsos sure likes to dish out personal insults. How long has he been doing this?

He seems like an angry little chap.

Why the hate Bill?

If I was your parent I would smack you on the arse!

The Sub-Forums Manager mod wasn't invented back in 2004. Try again Bill.

Anyway I would have thought that the Australian Chess Federation would embrace a forum where chess players can go and post their views.
It seems well patronised, a lot of people post here. It can only be good to promote the game of chess in Australia.
The President of the ACF should make a public statement expresseing his support........

but

he is not

like that.

Okay, I have confirmed this for myself, and its true. Strange how I never noticed this before. Thanks for clarifying that Bill.

Nope. The ACF is headed by three Chess Chatters, two of whom hold staff positions on CC. That gives them power on that forum which they don't have here, hence their disdain for our forum.

But if I'd offer Kevin or Bill a moderator position here in return for abandoning Chess Chat, I have no doubt they would jump at the opportunity.

That's only because I played an epic 60 move game with Heartbreak Kid, one of the best correspondence games Australia has seen for a decade. In the end we were both winners, even though he won on the board by finding a crafty way to checkmate me.

Basically, remove those 'correspondence move' posts and my average is about 4 posts per day for the past month. Your's on CC is around 9.

So more correspondence games were played this year than last, thus leading to a higher post count. I am not sure why you'd bother to report that.

Or their endless discussion on whether or not God exists. That sucker can pump out twenty to thirty odd posts per day sometimes. Entirely irrelevant to the supposed focus of Australia's Premier Chess Forum, which one would think is chess. But nevertheless, this thread probably accounts for 15% to 25% of their entire average daily post count.

Most of our posts, on the other hand, are related to chess.

Just thought I'd post a list monitoring the daily post count. When time permits I will try to add the 2010 months as well.

January 2011 - 21.5 posts per day (ppd)
February 2011 - 27.3 ppd
March 2011 - 31.1 ppd
April 2011 - 23.3 ppd

While the numbers are respectable enough, the year has not started dashing out of the gate.

It may have been a little too spicy. I am sure you will see the wisdom in his approach and join me in voting for him again.

I think, this month OZCHESSFORUM is doing nicely and the posts are purely alive.

Thanks Amir!

We seem to hold steady with some upswings for various months before coming back down to our base level of about 35 posts per day. I noticed on the other forum someone was crying because they have had a few days at only 24 posts per day.

In any event, the reason for this post is to ask whether there would be any interest in acquiring this modification (below) for mobile smart phones?

vBulletin Mobile Suite - released

If enough people have smart phones and would like to access OzChess from their phone while they are on their bus home from work, or at the beach, or whereever - then we will look at adding this.
