When I go to Google dot com, we are on the first page. For dot com dot au (Australia) we are first overall. For dot com dot ca (Canada) and dot com dot uk (United Kingdom) OzChess and Chess Chat do poorly for those terms.

I understand that, but I bet you Google has its algorithm based on where you're residing. It doesn't show up for me on search results on google under those specified terms

That could well be true, but your assumption on where I am when going to the Google homepage is possibly inaccurate.
