Shows you and Kevin are determined to waste your lives away minding other people's business - didn't I ever tell you about that old neighbour of mine who used to pull the weeds out of his lawn - well his weeds outlived him

Sometimes I ask myself whether this place is really worthwhile. A recent poll here overwhelming voted that yes - OzChess is worthwhile and should not be taken down. People want a board that is not dominated by ACF brass, especially chess players from Victoria it would seem.
But I will tell you this Elliott, at the end of December I will be tallying the stats, and if they are not an improvement or at least steady - I will be recommending to Matt that OzChess be discontinued. Do possible law suits assoc with the site also become jeopardised? Like opposite of double jeopardy being zero jeopardy? Poor Axiom will be lost at sea - you will have his life in your hands. I will be forced to behave myself at CC or be in no man's land. Moz will have to return to the surgeon and have those stitches removed. Matt will have to wash his mouth out to be allowed back in Cc. You will have stop defaming people to get your pass to get around go. FG will have stop fighting everyone and sundry. And Jaydon will have to dissassociate from SCT. And the only people who will be happy will be KB and BillG - you will make their day - that is if you can still sleep at nite. And I wil go and join the Palestinian site instead - that will teach you. |

You appear to have overlooked Antichrists issues in quoting others correctly. The initial part of Antichrist's post part of a quote by Alex, not a post by Antichrist.

You and Kevin Bonham exemplify this scenario. This group does not want you here. KB at least, stays out side looking in and then dobs with snot nosed whimpering in a barely recognised thread on Chess Chat. You, however, continue to come in and stink up the place with unwelcome attempts to prove your mental muscle by lifting trivial problems above your head. Sorry, but the group is underwhelmed and you are, yet again, humiliating yourself.

In a hilarious mixup over there Matthew Sweeney has mistakenly (well...) implied that Alex is "a natural born quitter. i.e. a loser." This happened when antichrist dragged a quote by Alex from one thread to another, and showing his usual semi-deliberate sloppiness in the area of quoting, failed to quote it correctly, so that it looked like part of his (AC's) post. The quote from Alex that was dragged was a claim that he would recommend to Matt that the Toolbox be "shut down" if the site's stats were "not an improvement or at least steady" as of the end of the year. Matt apparently mistook this for an original comment by AC and on that basis flamed him. As it happens on my reading of their post stats they are roughly steady on post per day average for the first 7 months of this year when matched to the first 7 months of last year. And after August is thrown in the mix they will probably be up. But really, who cares? In the last week they had 328 posts, which might sound pretty healthy by their standards but it isn't: 170 of them were pointless babble by antichrist and Axiom. By the time you take out those two and anyone fuelling their babble there's not that much going on over there at the moment. Apart from Superbear's brilliant sendup of the stupidity of devoting an entire subforum to a single thread about Linares 2009 of course. __________________ AC Hey Mate, what about Sprouty's babble over there inflating the SB counts by about 5000% all total piffle - and I should know being the master of it. BTW do you think I will get another "quote right or die" blast from Matt? But KB good point, Matt calling AO a quitter and loser!! But I will always like Matt's fighting spirit. Whereas I am like stick gum - just mould into any position (S & M) and stick onto anything - an attention whore to quote someone famous |

He then makes the case for OzChess by stating that our post count is steady and up on previous months. Its a little bizarre to see him advocating OzChess so passionately, but I choose not to look a gift horse in the mouth (whatever his motives for complimenting us are). I guess he's just happy that Wilkie won, so Denison didn't end up looking like a horse's behind afterall.
