I don't like using any soft ware for chess moves, mainly because can't virualise 2 dimentional board that well - double dementia one might say

Yeah, since you can't really do anything as a guest apart from talk in channel 1, I'd sign up for an account if I were to really use ICC - doesn't cost that much and much more time effective than continuously reinstalling windows, which could be rather annoying after a few times.

I'd be interested in this ozchess championship although i also don't have an ICC account since i've used up my free trials. I only have a FICS account.

ICC i believe is excellent value for money at about 20 cents per day .

If ICC were to the win this supposed poll, it would lose quite a few people who aren't willing to pay or who have lost their free trials, Everyone can make a FICS account. We should go with FICS that way everyone can participate.

Also, arguing about this or that service/interface is petty. It is like arguing about the shade of white of the light squares. Just get your kit on and line up.
