So to keep things straight forward for the inaugural forum's showpiece .

Yeah for sure, world cup style could be cool, I guess the next is for people to say whether they're interested or not. (Note at this stage all games against hbk will have to be played on FICS)

So I'd be interested, Ax, HBK, Mikesguns. (tell me if not) but preferrably voice interest below and I'll add you to a list in the first post.

Yes I see what you're saying and I'd be happy with that. Perhaps all 15 minutes except for the tiebreaks which would gradually become faster and faster?

hopefully a 7 r swiss would negate the necessity for such blitz tiebreaks .

Yes well I need to find out how many people want to compete, if enough then a 7 round swiss would be simple. Could maybe fiddle around with pools and series matches in a later blitz one. By the way would you say you'd compete, I'm awfully lonely on the entrants list

Unless the majority don't want it the idea was all 15 minute games in a swiss torunament and then at a later time, (after this one), a blitz or even blitz/bullet championship with a bit more of an exciting layout.

If I have enough people that say they want to enter I'll open a poll where you can vote for different layouts, it would be handy if everyone who wants to enter suggests the layout they want and I can poll it.

It also checks your computer. I have a feeling it does this through files it stores on your harddrive. It's not just through the IP.
