Please ask my research assistant Bill.

Listen Alex, when teaching at schools I showed them smother mate, then lo & behold a few weeks later an 8 year old girl in her first comp game of her life she does one against an older Knox Grammar who had a proper chess coach.
I stopped all games for everyone to admire |

Did your multiple bannings from Chess Chat show up on the FOI records?

Is it possible to get post of the month for a post on another site?
If so I nominate this from AC on the Chesschat Toolbox Detox thread: "KB, I don't know of one person who cares - really. They enjoy just bear-baiting you. Try to let go. Such flaming took place between you and a few of them for years before that site was created. Where has it all got you? Just a waste of many years of your precious best years of your life. At your age I was seriously getting myself set up for the rest of my life. You should be setting up your genetic heritage like the rest of us. Someone to love and who will love you in return forever - that is what life is about. When you get over 60 years you will realise what wasted years the last decade has been for you. People like yourself end up being the biggest pain when you age who everybody stays away from. I have neighbours and relos like where you are heading, older of course, who everyone hates. If you like I will ask the other mob to stop provoke you, to help you get over it. See what a kind Lebo I am!" This endless, pointless farcical debate on both sides seems to me to be like a cross between Groundhog Day and 1 flew over the cuckoo's nest. Time to move on after all these years and years and years and declare the war finally over? Or is it just not possible to stop that nervous twitch and picking at those scabs? Pax vobiscum brothers Phil.

First, the Admin on OzChess dropped the paid incentive to post on this board, leaving the Carrier Pigeon with a shortfall in revenue.
Then a chesschat poster calling himself antichrist received repeated bannings from chesschat and began to bring chesschat posts here free-of-charge. I went to the Pigeon Union to protest about the loss-leader behaviour of antichrist; only to be told that antichrist was just casual, and would soon tire of task. He is still at it, free carriage of chesschat posts to here, for attention of. The final straw is the appearance, on OzChess, of various chesschat hydras escaping from the unexciting environment of the so-called Premier League board. What is a Carrier Pigeon to do in the face of such a decline in the market. I resign. That is it. The last carrier post has been made by the Pigeon. There is no reasonable fee-for-service anymore.
