Thumbs up OzChess Growth is Strong!

This site continues to grow unabated, and will likely continue to in the future.

Maybe you should stop believing everything Kevin, Bill, Howard, McKenzie, and Jessop whisper in your ear.

Best Regards,

Alex

This site reminds of the early Prodo churches divorced from the Vatican, they were isolated, poor and cold as the RCC keeps all the money of course.

Hail Matt and Alex, the modern day Martin Luthers

Give my regards to everyone while there. I am so buggered about to go to sleep at 4pm. It is a shame that this board had not really taken off as well. Could have been very interesting. vvvvvvv

All that I can see a/c is that you are a slow learner about where to post your thoughts on chesschat.
You have form on this a/c. First, you were slow to use quote marks; and got Matt chastised for expressing his frustration as 'learn to quote or die'.
Now you seem to have infringed the chesschat filing standards mate.
It can't be all that hard mate.
Just pause before you post and re-consider "where should I post this on chesschat".
And, if it is all too hard....just post it here and leave a dollar for the Carrier Pigeon to drop it off at chesschat.

yours, in sincere admiration for what you catch

What I see is that Denis Jessop has yet again shown himself to be a regular and frequent lurker/observer at OzChess - hence the reason for all his posts about us.

As for McKenzie, I was referring to Mark McKenzie (ecletic on Chess Chat).

I just did a check, Chess Chat currently has 90 Currently Active Users and OzChess has 95 this morning.

Usually CC has an edge of about 10 to 20 more than OzChess, but suffice it to say most of these Currently Active Users are exactly the same people (ie. lurkers like Jessop) - which is one reason the numbers are often so comparable and close.

This means that while more people may post at Chess Chat, they still tune in here just as frequently as they are tuning into Chess Chat. Maybe that unpleasant reality is what has gotten up the noses of Grandpapa and Kevin.

As for Kevin's other statistics about our posting stats, they are just out to lunch.

Thumbs down Grandpapa's Treatments

Well, my post above got a reaction from Grandpapa who made a bizarre remark raising the issue of whether or not he needs constipation treatments.

Apparently, Denis Jessop is quite annoyed that I didn't respond to his post 310. However, sometime ago I gave up on adding commentary to the 'whose a hydra' guessing games that some CC losers like to play.

Sorry Denis.

And sure enough, Kevin Bonham has now chimed in a quest to rescue Grandpapa's sinking boat. For a change Kevin's post on CC involves less frothing at the mouth and more discussion of substantive issues. Unfortunately for him, however, I don't feel like playing ball today.

You should by now that there is no hope for me to follow the norm or conventions. For 60 years my brilliant brother has been trying to teach me things how to do properly, I just don't want to know. I don't want technical stuff etc in my brain. I want social stuff, philosophy, chess, docos, newspaper, women. I don't want to cram my brain. I think I have had a big win in chess game over there so I am happy and you cant dampen my spirit. One NSW has over Victoria. I will let you work out who??? Your favourite and mine.

Come on toolsie, you can't reneg now, over there they wait on hands and knees for more grenades they can jump to. LIke my old grandfather he used to love the Jehovah Witnesses coming around - they gave him someone to talk and argue with, they had no chance of getting him he was a Maronite Catholic. They would divert to other street to get away from him. Hello old pop, are you in heaven or hell mate? Is there anything there? Did you put money in the plate for nothing? Remember we used to do gardening together.

Over there at CC they are probably worried to death that you will let the fight go, they would have to go to the shrink to recover, they are addicted. You have got them by the short and curlies.

I think what AO is trying to say was said more succinctly by an infamous American.

Are you high tech enough to click on this web-page?
Can you find time between sets of waves to read line 3 on that page; the bit in quotation marks.

You have lost your mojo matey. Fancy you getting banned for accents and lack of filing protocols.
In the good old days you had an edge.

Go find another St George, or worry the Pope.

Luv your old work,

They have you and Elevator-Escapee to kick around still.

On top of that, I find them to be a vile unprincipled bunch - and I have no desire to engage them or to fight pointless battles with them anymore.

I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.

My time there is over my friend, I pass the torch to you now.

Best Regards,

AO

I have never known two forums to be so aggressive and competitive towards each other, it is amazing.
