Good point AC!

By comparison our shoutbox is the reverse, usually active for 3/4 a day.

Shoutboxes are very important since, in my humble opinion at least, provide a mirror reflecting quality and content of the Forum.
I was very impressed when OZchess used it's shoutbox to project three boards of a live tournament.
That was an additional feature to the traditional link onto Box Hill tournaments.
It was fantastic and looked great too, something which I publicly acknowledged in ChessChat as well!

Can we have that feature again please?

Thanks!

We are working on adding the MCC to this as well, so when games are being played at the MCC, 3 boards will again show the games live just above the shoutbox so users can comment on the games as they develop.

I can turn it off and on at will. The only thing I need to know is when the Box Hill is transmitting games, and then the feature can be turned on.

That's really good news.

Box Hill's Tournaments usually take place on Tuesdays and Fridays starting at 7:45 PM !
(they stage other main tournaments - such as the Rookies and CV related events as well)

Melbourne Chess Club's events which are always very strong take place on Mondays, starting at 7:00 PM. Allegros ( featuring IM James Morris and FM Michael Baron) Saturdays 2 pm.

However, for MCC's above and other events please contact Frank Lekkas who is the DGT co - ordinator!
