Thumbs down Bill, KB & Dennis - All Mates

60 weeks (420 days) takes us back to 28 Sep 2008.

Since then there have been 61 posts in the Moderation thread but Matthew has made the beginners' error of assuming all were banning notices when this is actually not the case.

In total 45 bannings have been logged in the thread in this period, however five of those loggings were just to inform members about the banning of hydras known to belong to already permanently banned users. As such these are not fresh bannings; there are actually many such bannings that are not logged at all (because some of our ex-members just can't seem to stay away).

Of the 40 real bannings (including shoutbox bans), 16 were applied to Axiom (who is now permanently banned) and 15 to antichrist. (The remainder were 4 to ursogr8, 3 to Jaydon, 1 to upldiscovered, and there was one spammer banning I logged because of its sneaky and non-obvious nature.)

A/C
Fancy I lost this battle with Axiom and I was trying so hard. BUt he got barred for silly things whereas I got barred for enjoying myself.

Yes A/C. I did make a short hand 60 in 60. No, I did not bother to analyse it in detail. However, nor did I imply that 60 individuals were banned - just that there were 60 banning notices in 60 weeks - notices that pertain to banning.

In any case, they have banned a considerable number of of their major contributors and much of its colour.

BTW, may we change the title of this thread to more accurately reflect its content.

In the sense that a/c collaborated so that KB could make his 60 in 60 quota?

Is your emphasis on 1. or 2. below

1. To work together, especially in a joint intellectual effort.
2. To cooperate treasonably, as with an enemy occupation force in one's country.

1. does seem far-fetched.

Please clarify what you mean MOZ. Hopefully you are not referring to that manure pile known as Chess Chat.

This is undeniable.

It is a sad reflection on the quality of the moderation over there, and also the reason I refuse to contribute to that forum.

If we were to look at the banning activity of cc over a longer time span ,would it not be possible to ascertain even greater levels of metric insight into the big picture understanding ?

Default from CC KB

Also, a notice that a poster is being unbanned before their term is up is hardly a "banning notice". More like an unbanning notice.

An iconoclast, the antichrist, a dog, and a cuckhold, are on a train journey from cyberspace to the Doeberl Cup. As the train crosses the border into the ACT, it goes past a field with a cow with brown hair.

The iconoclast says, "I see a brown cow in that field."
The antichrist looks at it and says, "The cows in ACT are brown."
The dog says "No, there is at least one cow in ACT that is brown."
The cuckhold says "No, there is at least one cow in ACT of which at least one side is brown."

[Yet a cow is still in the field.]

a/c...you have definitely lost your mojo.
You are soft as.

Helping KB meet his quota is not a sign of the challenging individual.

Just look at your namby-pamby posts recently here >>

I don't understand this poem.

So what if the cow is in the field, and maybe brown.
Does it give milk or is it dry?
Brown cow, black cow, orange cow ? They should all give milk.
Ha Ha.
