Bill once said something to the effect that it was his mission in life to make sure Matt Sweeney never played chess in New South Wales again. That kind of comment should not be coming from anyone in chess administration let alone the president of the NSWCA.
It has been claimed that Bill said something like this, Bill denies it. Also, when I checked with the person Iconoclast claimed heard Bill say this, the person also denied it. So, at this time, I have no reason to believe that Bill ever said anything like it.
