Imagine the stink if the World Cup (football) was held in the same country twice in a succession. Mate, it simply would not happen because it would not be good for the game. However, in the case of junior chess in Australia, who knows what the ACF will rule - and they will rule. The ACF has the AJCL gonads in a vice and a 1200W power drill attached to the handle.
In fact, the AJCL has been totally silenced by the ACF. The ACF will continue to say when and where the Australian Junior Championships will be held. It will even let Mt Buller types monopolise the Championships to a minor desert capital, at the expense of the future of chess in major population centres on the east coast.
But, but, but .... the record shows the following declarations
1)
They could go on as they are now while the AusJCL handled national Juniors matters such as allocating or running the Australian Junior Championships
and Schools Teams Championships, the Ergas Elite Junior Development Squad and selections of Australian juniors for overseas tournaments.
2)
I understand, from some discussions that I have had, that the intention is for CV to bid for the 2010 Aus Juniors. I'm sure that, with proper preparation, CV can put on a good show and I hope that they will.

Are these declarations now non-operative?
