Now the second biggest affiliated Club in Victoria
The coaching at Canterbury Junior Chess Club is having an effect on the number of new players joining the chess club.
A milestone was reached over the week-end when the 100th paid-up junior member was registered for 2011 membership.
I believe this makes CJCC the second largest affiliated Club in Victoria, still well behind the heritage-listed MCC.
As the (CV)-affiliation cycle draws near to declaring numbers for 2011 it will be interesting to see which Club is in third position. Probably a race between FCC, BHCC and NPCC.
