That's because technically, its a very outdated site Garvin. It could be up to date with the latest version of vBulletin, but no one there wants to improve the place. Hence, lousy site performance.

One hundred posts a day (on average) should not lead to a disk space issue, in fact 100 posts per day is very low. Most vBulletin forums average at least 500. I suspect your site speed is slow because of hosting issues. Also, you should limit the number of spiders that crawl your site, as they can also reduce speed.
