That is done on purpose actually. Posters with a post count of less than 10 sometimes have their posts picked up by the spam filter if their posts contain certain keywords. Because spambots usually only make a few posts, the filter is primarily designed to target them - and has saved this site from large volumes of spam since it was installed.

However, real people who become new members also tend to have a post count below 10 initially, so the inflated post count simply exempts these members' posts from the spam filter.

Once your real post count exceeds 11, it should start counting properly mate
