To be fair, the 20th century was a far more bloody one that the ones preceding it even before the A Bomb had been developed.

I think in regards to implanting microchips in humans, the benefits far outweigh the possible drawback that governments will misuse that information. We are not talking about Total Recall here where Arnold decides he wants to be unchipped so the authorities stop chasing him, and then pulls the gigantic thing out of his nose
